Who is neko x matcha?
I'm an illustrator and author with roots in Japan and a home in Australia.
Years ago, I stepped away from the fashion industry to focus on raising my daughter. Through our craft projects together, my love for beautiful stationery came alive again—but collecting wasn't enough. I started creating my own.
Three years ago, I faced a serious illness. In that moment, I realized I wanted to leave something behind for my daughter—words from my heart, turned into art and stories. That's what pushed me to self-publish my first book.
Now, I create through illustration, writing, and handmade goods. Everything I make carries that same intention: to share honesty, slowness, and the beauty of being exactly who you are. Because if I could learn that, maybe you can too.
